There are two reasons research is such a critical component to our job: 1) we need to learn about your business and specifically your customers in order to consistently get conversion wins, and 2) even if you know a ton about your customers there’s still probably at least one rock unturned. The process we’ve developed is crucial to your desired end result – measurable and repeatable conversion wins.
There are a few different ways we optimize your site, and the route we choose really depends on where you could use the most help. We start with understanding your customers and making sure the messages they need to hear are clearly laid out and in the right order. We may rewrite your home page, product pages, pricing pages, or landing pages. We also look closely at your analytics to find the leaky spots in your funnel. When we find them, we’ll implement things like email capture to increase leads, marketing automation to nurture, or improve your design so the conversions you’re after are loud and clear to every visitor.
Absolutely! We’re nerdy about heat maps, analytics, surveys, and just about anything else you can quantify. We marry the quantitative analysis with our first-hand, primary qualitative research to get a rich understanding of what your customers say and actually do.
Definitely. The best way to get consistent wins is a longer term engagement, which gives us a chance to create a proper plan of attack and implement testing. Our monthly plans are pretty straightforward and geared entirely around results. They are billed 100% upfront and work will not begin until you’ve paid.
If you have a specific engagement in mind, we’re happy to put together the scope that is most likely to achieve your business goals. We bill only on a project basis. Custom engagements under $10,000 are paid 100% upfront, and projects over $10,000 can be paid in two equal payments (before project start and upon initial delivery of assets) OR you can pay upfront for a 20% discount.
Don’t bother asking for a different billing arrangement – no exceptions.
It’s a wise question indeed. We start with research to learn everything there is to know about your customers and your business. We talk to your VOC aggregators and customers directly, and collect all of the research you’ve already done. That may include customer support tickets, lists of sales objections, testing data you’ve already collected, and surveys.
Next we create. Usually we create web and email copy, improve your design, and design landing pages from scratch. We can also create your ad copy and construct entire email nurturing campaigns complete with automation. Or improve lead capture. The list goes on.
Then we implement and test. This is important – if you have the traffic to support it, we want to test what we’ve done so there’s proof of which marketing works best. What you and I think isn’t nearly as important as the actual results that we achieve. In that way, we happily check our egos at the door and hope that you can, too. Once we’ve implemented and completed testing, we identify the next piece of research that needs to be done or asset that needs to be created, then test and compound our gains.
